District Governor's Goals

                 

 

  1. Have a net gain in membership. Minimum one member increase.
  2. Firmly establish one (1) new Lion club.
  3. Establish one (1) branch club.  
  4. Have 100% club participation in White Cane Day and Send a Kid to Camp fundraising.
  5. Club participation with Georgia Special Olympics either monetary or volunteer service.
  6. All Clubs maintain a sound financial status and pay LCI and District bills on time. 
  7.  Submit Monthly Membership Reports (MMR) on time in accordance with Lions Clubs International requirements:                                   
                                   Manual  = (received by LCI on the 20th of each month).           Electronic  = (filed by noon on the last day of the month)                  
             Send copies to the District Governor, 1st Vice District Governor, 2nd Vice District Governor and Cabinet Secretary. 
  8. 100% club elections in April 2011 and submission of Officer Election Report (PU 101) to LCI and a copy to the DG and DGE no later than
    10 May 2011.
  9. Have a 100% club participation in a District Training or orientation session.
  10. 100% participation of clubs in at least three community service projects.
  11. Each club submit at least quarterly – articles with pictures, if feasible, to local newspapers, websites, Lions Magazine, District Bulletin, etc.

REGIONAL MEETINGS:

    At least one Regional Meeting will be held and it may take the place of one Zone Meeting.

 

ZONE ADVISORY MEETINGS:

    At least three Zone Advisory Meetings should be held in the 2010 – 2011 Lions year.  The first should be held in late August/early September, the second in late October/early November, and the third in February or March.  It is recommended that the second or third meeting be a Region meeting of two zones.  Club Presidents and Secretaries are expected to attend these meetings and other Club Members are also ENCOURAGED to attend.

 

DISTRICT CONVENTION:

     A District Convention will be held on March 13, 2011.  ALL voting delegates from each Club are expected to ATTEND in order to elect candidates for the offices of District Governor, 1st and 2nd Vice District Governor and District Librarian.
